A young man named Alex Corvis was sentenced to death for the murder of his girlfriend, Lauren Randall. Now, after he was murdered in the electric chair, he has returned from the dead and will avenge his and his girlfriend’s death. Much like the same plot of the original, this time instead of going after a gang, Alex is hunting down crooked cops with the help of his girlfriend’s sister, Erin.
The movie opens with a brief history of what happened to a girl named Lauren Randall. Alex, her boyfriend, is now going to be electrocuted for the murder of his girlfriend. He insists up until they execute him that he is innocent and that he loved Lauren. After the execution his body is taken to the morgue where his corpse rises back to life. He is neither dead nor alive. He walks in front of a mirror and sees his burned face. He removes away the burns to reveal his face with a new design over it. Moments later, he realizes what he must do and escapes from the prison. He doesn’t know who the men are who killed his girlfriend, all he knows of is a scar on one of their arms. He hunts each one down and kills them one by one.
I had seen the first two years ago. The original was a great film in my opinion, and the sequel was fairly decent. I didn’t have high hopes for this sequel, and because of that, I was surprised. The acting wasn’t as good as the previous movies were, but the entertainment was there. It was more like the original, but not as dark. If you’re a Crow fan, I highly recommend you checking out this film. I give it a 7 out of 10.
