Arnold Schwarzenegger has returned in this sequel to the box office hit “The Terminator.” Skynet sent a machine back in time to kill Sarah Connor before she could give birth to John Connor. Now, John Connor is a teenager and Skynet has a new target. This time they have sent a new machine back in time known as the T1000, played by Robert Patrick. It is faster, deadlier, and is made of liquid metal, which means it can take the form of many weapons. Like before, the humans have sent a protector for John, only this time it’s the same kind of machine that tried to kill his mother years before. Arnold Schwarznegger is the T-800 model and its mission is to protect John, and if it fails, the future fails. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.
This is one sequel that is far better then the original. The movie is about an hour longer then the first one and we get Arnold as the good guy like we are used to seeing him as in his other movies. This was the original plot line for the first one, but since they couldn’t afford a movie like this at that time and that the technology didn’t exist for the T100 they had to wait until the sequel for the two terminator idea. Also, this movie has some truly amazing scenes. The scene in the mall lasting to the scene where the T1000 chases John with an 18 wheeler was one of my favorite scenes. Another great scene is when the Terminator, John, Sarah, and Miles are in the Cyberdine factory and the Terminator starts blowing up the police cars, but overall every scene in this movie is amazing. It’s 2 and a half hours, but it never gets boring. This is probably Arnold’s best movie he has ever done. This is a great way to get the Terminator movies with a movie that was better then the original, but they have already started making Terminator 3. For those of you who are fans of Arnold Schwarzenegger you shouldn’t miss this one, and if you want to see an amazing movie, I highly recommend this film. I give it at 10 out of 10.
