Skinned AliveThis time, instead of the victims going to the family, the family goes to the victims.  Crawldaddy and her two children are a crazy family.  They are on a murder spree where they make leather with human flesh and when their van breaks down they meet a family who gives them shelter.  Now as an ex-cop finds out their plans it is up to him to stop them before they kill anyone else.

The movie opens with a very gory killing of a hitchhiker.  Soon another person is murdered and the killer’s van breaks down.  As they arrive in town they meet a man who says he will try and get their van fixed as soon as possible, in the meantime he lets them stay at his house.  It doesn’t take long before the family continues to do what they do best, kill people and skin them.  Eventually an ex-cop finds out and he decides to take the law into his own hands as he goes out after this crazy family.

I found this movie to be quite a fun film.  It reminded me a lot of the classic film Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and it reminded me of the movie Mother’s Day.  I would say that Skinned Alive is a cross between those two.  We get the crazy family that is in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the humor of the mother and her two children that we would also see in the film, Mother’s Day.  This movie is quite gory throughout the entire movie.  It doesn’t have much suspense in this movie and it lacks any real scares.  I did find myself laughing a few times though.  This is a perfect movie to watch if you are wanting a good late night movie that is filled with gore and cheese.  It is a fun movie to watch and I recommend checking it out.  I give it a 6 out of 10.
