Night of the Living Dead is the zombie masterpiece directed by George Romero that quickly became a cult classic. It is the tale of a group of people who are stranded in a farm house who have to work together to keep these rotting corpses from coming into the house and eating them alive. As the dead begin to rise the world is in trouble because there is no stopping them and these people in the farm house have to make it through the night in order to survive.
This movie has been a favorite of mine for some time now. I remember seeing it when I was real young and it is one of the few movies that actually scared me. It is in black and white and the atmosphere in this film is very suspenseful. Unlike many zombie films, the zombies show up right at the beginning of the movie and it just continues to get better from there. This movie has been cloned many times and it has two sequels, but nothing can compare to this classic. Many say that Dawn of the Dead is the better film, but I prefer this one over any of them. This is a cult classic and if you’re a horror fan this is a must see. I give it a 10 out of 10.
