A brother and his sister are on their way home from college for the holidays. As they are on their way home they are almost forced off the road by a huge truck. Soon they pass a house where the truck is parked. They notice a man dumping what appears to be bodies into a sewage drain. While they are driving by the house the Creeper notices them and starts to follow them. The Creeper eventually catches them and runs them off the road. Once they go off the road the truck drives away. Darius, the brother, decides to go back and help the victim. They get in the car and drive back to the house where Darius falls into the sewage drain and notices around 600 bodies down there. Soon after the Creeper is after them and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
I had really high hopes for this movie. Then the opening day came and all I heard was that this movie was horrible. Well I don’t really know what movie they were watching because it couldn’t have been this one. This one is excellent. The first 45 minutes are really just Darius and Trish trying to find out what’s going on. The last 45 minutes are the two trying to escape this creature known as The Creeper. It isn’t really violent, but it has an 80’s feel to it. I had heard that there wasn’t much comedy in it, but I found Darius to be a really hilarious character. One of my favorite scenes was when Trish and Darius were trying to run over the Creeper and he just kept walking over them car. Another great scene was when they meet the cat lady. That scene was probably one of my favorite scenes. So in closing, this movie is nothing like recent horror movies and it has helped to prove that 2001 is a great year for horror movies. I give this movie a 10 out of 10.
