A young TV producer named Max is trying to get his new reality TV show on the air. When he finally gets the money for the budget, he sets up a contest. His TV show is called Chill Challenge, and the object of Chill Challenge is to survive the night with your greatest fears working against you. As a group of five models are placed inside the mansion, they are one by one lead out of the room to begin their hunt. If they pass their tests and make it through the night they will get 1,000,000 dollars. The only problem is when the reality TV game show turns into actual reality with more than just their fears working against them. Because now there is a group of ghosts who are out to wreak bloody vengeance.
The movie opens with us meeting Max. Max is a desperate producer with his last chance for a TV show. He is talking to the president of a company, and he is trying to get the funding for his reality TV show. Next up we meet all the girls who have entered the contest. There’s Stacy, who just wants to be on TV; Rainbow, the girl who is in it only to see ghosts; Amber, who wants the million dollars; Marti, who is in it for the competition; and Paige, who is the producer’s girlfriend. Soon they are brought into the mansion, and they hear the rules. As each one gets called to leave the room they meet a grisly fate, and now it’s up to the last few surviving to get away from these vengeful ghosts.
I had heard that this is the sequel to Prison of the Dead, though I have yet to see that one. I really didn’t know what to expect out of this film since I hadn’t really heard much about it, but what I have heard it was mostly positive reviews. Well, it looks like this is going to be another positive review for this film! What more can we ask for out of a horror film like this? It has great looking girls and tons of gore. I loved the ventriloquist scene, with the ghost and the victim, great stuff! At first when it was getting started I figured it was going to be something like House on Haunted Hill with the whole “Get some cash after spending the night in a haunted mansion” plot, but it really wasn’t like that film at all. I enjoyed this film more than House on Haunted Hill. This one has more gore, and more tension. Though I’m not going to say it’s the scariest thing, because it sure isn’t. But it is a fun flick to watch. So, if you want to watch a good splatter flick one night, grab this flick and enjoy! I give this movie a 7 out of 10.
