Plot: “Story goes, these great big rats come scuttling’ off the slave ships…and raped all the little tree monkeys.” This line is spoken in regards to a fiendish little disease carrying rat monkey, without whom this gruesomely hilarious story would not be possible. Lionel Cosgrove has lived a comfortable life under the ever watching, ever oppressing presence of his over bearing mother. After an unpleasant encounter with the aforementioned Rattus ateles paniscus, Lionel’s beloved mother becomes a flesh-eating monster. Unable to bring himself to exterminate his mother’s ravenous remains, Vera’s pathetic, subservient son is forced to subdue the ever-growing corpse crew with tranquilizers. Can Lionel keep his flesh-crazed, undead houseguests secret from his greedy uncle Les and his hopelessly naive girlfriend, Paquita? “There will be torment and suffering…”

Review: What is that stink coming from the cellar? It is a group of reanimated, rotting, drugged-up carcasses. This crazy zombie splatter-fest is the perfect addition to any horror fan’s collection. It has everything that any connoisseur of carnage would want from a gory comedy flick. You’ve got your wimp turned bad-ass zombie slayer (fully equipped with a gas powered, 3.5 horsepower slice and dice lawnmower), an army of flesh eating zombies, enough blood to fill 5 swimming pools, a kung-fu clergyman, a giant rampaging corpse that’s fueled by animal stimulant and last but not least a pesky, rotten little zombie baby that’s reminiscent of those loveably sickening Garbage Pail Kids… I give this movie a 10 out of 10.
