Children of the CornIt all began on a quiet Sunday in Gatlin, Nebraska.  The day that the children slaughtered all the adults at the instruction of Issac, a young preacher with mesmerizing powers.  Isaac told them that He Who Walks Behind The Rows was pleased with what they had done.  Three years later, the children still follow him and his evil teenage disciple, Malachi.  When a young couple traveling across the country accidentally drive into Galtin, they begin to discover the town’s horrible secrets.   What they don’t realize is that why have become part of the children’s bloody mission; a mission that cannot be fulfilled until the two intruders are dead!

This is a pretty good little film adapted from Stephen King’s short story.  It is a little different from the sequels being that this one actually has some intense parts to it.  I found it to be a good film, and if you haven’t seen it you are missing out.   If you love the sequels, you will probably like this one.  It is nice to see where the Children of the Corn series started off.  I give it 6 out of 10.
